I have recently aquired a set of 45mm Webbers for the 1000 and so i now have no need for my spare SU's, they are the hitachi type and come complete with manifold and a rockercover
that is all set up for a 200b accelarator cable. $200ono as a bonus im throwing in a set of 1200 extractors.
If you interested E-mail me at kueball@perthmail.com
only Aussie residents apply preferable from perth.

cheers

i know this is gonna make me look as stupid as any person could look......but what
exactly are extractors?
I was looking at a car with 'extractors', but i couldnt see any difference without
extractors!

Could someone humour me......and tell me what exactly they look like, and what they
do....

thanks

I think extractors are exhaust headers.

ok, yknow your exhaust manifold? well notice how it looks kind of restrictive? well extractors replace your exhaust manifold, they are four pipes that run into the exhaust - they
allow the gas to escape more freely, and give you a few more ponies.

most exhaust manifolds are cast iron and run from the exhaust ports to exhaust pipe in a very short distance. Extractors/Headers use mandrel bent tube that is tuned in length, ie: all
tubes are the same length between port and collector, so that the exhaust gases flow smoothly and quickly through your exhaust. this helps to imporve effiency and therefore horsepower
of your motor.

Most extractors are tuned for a certain RPM level, hence, tuned exhaust. When the motor is running at this level, and when the exhaust reaches the end of the extractor tube,
a vacuum is created just behind the pulse and helps to suck out the next pulse. Extractors usually make your engine compartment run hotter also.
