you mean like this?

I fixed mine up myself. Not the easiest job, but if you can drive a grinder and a welder ok, and have some experience welding sheet metal you should be ok. Otherwise get some one to do it for you.

Here's my repair job:

cut it out some more, and weld up the first two bits

Not hard if you have the patience/skills/tools.

As for the back, there's a lot less margin for error there. If you mess it up, you'll see it every time you look at your car, as a pose to this, you only see it when you look in the corner of the engine bay. Still, if you're determined to do it yourself, it works pretty much the same way. Just watch out that excess heat doesn't warp the panels and make it worse warpings not hard to do...

Its actually a Girling "claypipe" master
You can get them in 5/8 and 3/4 easily and sometimes .7" if you look hard enough
Usually a 5/8 for clutch applications
Worth about $70
Threads are 3/8 unf for pipe outlet and 7/16 unc for fluid in

NIS15L's old ute. I think I'll go this way, it gives you a couple more options for brake booster etc. (or you could remote mount that too have a look here)

Top two pieces go on the top of the sill panel, visible when you open the door. They hold the edge of the carpet to the inner sill panel so that it looks tidy. Bottom left would be the same for the rear door, and bottom right would be for the base of the B pillar (I think its B pillar in between the two doors right?)

Personally I think these metal ones looks a bit average. I wouldn't mind finding a plastic substitute from a donor car to replace them...

Hey I saw that ad!

Sounds like a good deal to me. If your going to do something serious with the engine you'll want to rebuild it anyway or at least get it checked out, no matter what the previous owner says.

You get to drive it before you buy it which is a LOT more than most people get before they get the engine. $600 sounds like a really good buy. I paid $800 for mine, and while it was the friend of a friend it apparently runs, but will need a rebuild pretty soon, although mine came with a t28bb turbo.

Make sure you get as much as you can from him, from tail shaft to intercooler.

I got a sedan shell around the back that i need to get rid of. It would suit either a race/rally car, or for rust repair sections. It had pretty serious rust in the sills, which have been removed completely. I have a couple sills made for it which could be welded in. No serious panel damage apart from rust, and the roof which has been jumped on.

It'll never make a neat streeter without a few thousands worth of panel and paint, and a few thousand more on rust repair, but for an average race car or similar it would be ok.

There's also a possibility of chopping the front/rear off it for some one that has some serious body damage.

price... well its free to anyone thats going to use it for constructive purposes
