I have a sunny tailsharft in mine and its a 5 speed with a c20 4.8 diff ,same as a ute but I had to change the yolk on the front of the diff to a sunny one as the c20 one was too long.I think the ute one you have maybe ok though. most of the tailsharfts seem to be the same length ,its the yolk on the diff thats different. anyway a sunny one got me out of trouble.i hope this helps by allan

i don't know if this is any help but i fitted a standard 180B two piece tailsharft into my 1200. i had a ute diff and an a12 auto box. i had to change the yoke on the front of the diff to a shorter one from a sunny and i had to make up a bracket out of flat bar to hold the center bearing and bolt it to the floor but it was realy easy and works. the car gets a hiding in kahanacrosses etc and hasent been a problem. also i think a front spline on a tailsharft from an auto 1200 is the same as an L series manual box the back end fits a standard sedan coup diff

i'm new to this stuff so here goes let me tell you about my rear swaybar on the coup i use for supersprints and hillclimbs i used a front bar of a corolla the bar goes behind the diff with the two arms pointing back. I welded a piece of angle iron across between the two clamp plates that clamp under the springs to this i bolt the front swaybar mount brackets then the arms of the swaybar go back and out through between the spring and the bodythen I just drilled a hole in the boot floor and made a bolt for a link to use the eyes of the swaybar. it works realy well and by moving the front mounts in or out you can adjust it. I hope this works by
