well were do i start. I was using the oringinal carby but it didnt seem to be up to the job even after i bought a carter black elecy fuel pump. i then made a carby hat for my webber got it all running took it for a drive and this is what happend 1st gear rev out to about 6500-7000 rpm reasonalby smooth 2nd gear revs to about 4000 rpm dies for a couple o seconds then revs to about 5500-6000 rpm 3rd is about the same. 4th at about 140kms (cant remember tach reading) starting to surge abit put the foot down a little further and it start jerking. got home put it in the shed and checked the spark plugs even burn in all cylinders the colour of the plugs where whitish with a slight blacky brown tinge. carby is the same or simular to what the falcons had that came off a 200b unknowen jets sizes, carter black elecy fuel pump (8psi) engine is stock with no vacuum advanced hooked up boost guage reads about 3-4 psi but i have a feeling that it frigged

cheers
Harley

got the setup all bolted up now ive got a bug to iron out No.1 with the stock carbs do you have to modify them at all. when free reving its got no problem under load on bitchumen it wont rev over 3 grand spits and farts after that exept in first it rev right out with no problems it doesnt seem to be the timing could be wrong though . on gravel perfect in 1st 2nd 3rd couldnt get 4th and it has no wheel spin on the gravle either so its still under load other than that thats it

cheers

will post some pics when i get the turbo back there not as easy to mak as i thought esspecally when you even make the tight bend at the bottom from scratch with a couple of angle cut pieces of pipe in the shape of a U would of been heaps easier with steam pipe bends

Ive just finished making the j pipe for my turbo setup got it all mounted on an other engine so i can easy fab up some suports to take the turbo weight off the j pipe and all thats left to do now do all the oil and water line to and from the turbo. The oil feed line can i just T it off at the oil pressure sender or is there a better place to feed it from and the drain just cut a hole in the sump and weld in a peice of pipe

cheers
Harley
