Depends how much trust one has in the driver I believe Benny. That speed has only happened a couple of times as most of it is done on the track anyway.

I thought that the plastic ones were the same, the utes just came out with different centre badges and different use of silver in places on the grille?

There are a few daily drivers here in Christchurch in the South Island but I do not see many others often. We are a special group.

I have an electrical and I like the ease of instalment and the lack of fear of oil in the compartment. I think in NZ that street cars are not allowed to have mechanical guages? Does anyone know? The only problem is finding an adaptor for the electrical. In my Toyota racecar I could screw in an imperial thread as it went straight into the block. The 1200s have that weak cast alloy oil filter attachment which I have cracked trying to install a NPT thread which aftermarket guages normally come with. A BSP thread is needed. In the end I found a Toyota Levin sender which screwed straight in so my advice if you go electrical is to find a Japanese engine's electrical sender unit.

Pretty sure the shaft had no play when I put it on. Will check again though. After doing some reading it might be the Idle Air Correctors which i did not know about.

I am in the process of trying to get another old Weber 32/36 running on the A12 and have come across an interesting symptom I cannot solve. When idling the car idles anywhere from 500-1500 then 1000-2000 then 200-1200 in a repetitive circuit style fashion. What could be causing this and why will it not idle constant? Thanks Brock

Those GTOs are getting pretty expensive over here. They are the nice Mitsubishi.
