"Its good to know standard ecu can be run without the injector side working" a ecu will work with many outputs not connected! an ecu just needs the inputs to work and all outputs are optional.

"Should be right he's running them on smaller discs so won't be as much force on them. Smaller leverage and all that. Its quite a nice setup."
the size of disc has no bearing on the forces that the caliper experiences. the caliper mounts will experience the same forces no matter what size disc you run. (give or take) The problem with machining the calipers is that the caliper probably flexes during operation. The material on the caliper is there for a reason. Thhe machining done may end up weakening the caliper or acting like a stress raiser. The other major reason that machining the caliper is not a good idea, is that it is probably illegal..

"datsik I dont think you know how much a 4age formula atlantic motor costs?"
I was comparing a stock 160HP 20 valve 4age engine to a worked turbo A15 engine.

"no ambient temp or manifold temp, only water temp"
Not a very good idea. Most computers uses air temp to calculate the correct amount of fuel. So on a cold day it will add fuel and on a hot day it removes fuel. I can't talk specifically about the ca18, but with no air temp sensor, wouldn't the computer go into limp mode?

" If you setup an a15 with a ball bearing t25rs it will kill a super dooper NA 20v and weigh in the same, cost less to setup and easier to maintain."
If you do both properly, I doubt it would cost you less, and what kind of datsun gearbox can handle over 160 HP reliably?? The 20V will give you toyota reliability and drivability, an a15 turbo will probably give you lag and broken gearboxes.

A toyota 4age 20 valve makes 160 BHP. and thats with 1.6 liters, 5 valves per cylinder, quad throttle bodies and efi.
Good luck trying to get 200 reliable (with a nice torque spread) BHP out of a boat
anchor.

"ca is cranking, ca has fuel, ca has spark, ca doesnt go :( "
low fuel pressure or incorrect timing are the likely culprits. Also, you may have spark, but the spark may be actaully too weak to fire the mixture.
