I have come from sunny Brisbane at 35 deg C, to Colorado Springs Colorado at 15 deg Below. And one question is, were are all the 1200's? I can only see F trucks and front drive 8's. I have
seen a few Zed's but thats all.
Is it true here you can run Dr Pepper injection here if your car starts to cough? Cause that horrible stuff tastes like cough syrup.
My ute siezed just b4 I left. It was come off the road for a ca18det transplant anyway. Does anyone know of a mob in Brisbane or SE Qld that will wire it up for me and do the mod plate?
Any people that do plumbing & intercoolers would be good as well.

thanks

I am in the same process at the moment. I have got stanza (american equivalent??) struts and steering arm, late model 120Y (B210) control arms and radius rod. This setup with the Girlock
calipers and a 120Y (B210) booster will be the easiest and pull up pretty well. You will need to get a shorter spring and get the bump stop shortened.
The setup I am using is a Toyota Tarago 10" twin vented discs and hubs instead of the stanza discs. However the hub is quite wide and the wheels are set out heaps. The calipers used are HJ65
4 spots. According to the repco manual late model hilux calipers are the same size. Next the discs will have to be spaced off the hubs. Make sure to do this well because it is a high stress
part and it needs almost 25mm of spacing. I am yet to look to see if some other hubs off a datsun will bolt up to the tarago discs, save making the spacer.

As for the rear, I have heard a sigma diff and axles will fit. This gives you rear discs, but an open centre diff. I am leaving my rear drumo's on because being a ute there is not much
weight back there anyway.

It really depends on how fast you intend going, and how well you need to stop.
hope this helps

I have the stanza struts and steering rods, 120Y radius rods and lower control arms and some HJ60 landcruizer 4 spots. All fits together so far. I am still sourcing some
Tarago twin vented 10 inchers, but it is hard to find ones that arent paper thin. The search goes on...

The bluebird diff is in and will be welded up when the engine upgrade starts.

Thanks all who put up the posts, and not just on brakes, on everything.

have a good one

I was looking at an engine on the weekend. Is there anyway of telling if it is an A15/A14 or A12 from the engine number? The number is 101405A. Nissan OZ has no idea, as they dont track
any imports into the country.

Does anyone know where I can get some stronger internals for the A15, just so I can up the compression and get a few more ponies? Are there many coumpanies that make aftermarket parts
for the A15?

I just read in ZOOM with the white 4agze powered ute, that he used a C20 LSD 4.1:1 van diff center in a TRX Bluebird diff and axles. Has anyone heard of
or done the convert?

Just checkin on what a reasonable price should be for a low milage import A15.

There is a TRX Bluebird going for bits. Does that axle have discs and are there many options on the ratios and can I get a LSD diff centre for that axle. Will it bolt up
reasonably easily or not?

thanks all
