The Off topic section is a place to discuss interesting topics to the community.
Since 05/04/2020 Offtopic does not appear in recent replies in the main page


Guidelines:

- Post once, if your topic is not replied it might not be interesting to the community
Do not repost to bump it up.

- If you dont like the topic from another member, ignore it.

- Long posts most likely wil not be interesting to most members, people have a limited time, same as talking to an audience if you talk too long everybody would leave. Be factual, to the point. Members might read a long post about a build. Off topic, most likely will go away

- Do not double post replying to yourself, edit your last post if you missed something


Not following offtopic guide lines, an Admin or a Moderator can delete the post

I will post offtopic guidelines to clear this misunderstanding.

Even members requested for the Offtopic section to be removed I believe it should exist as any car forum.

The problem in ours is, the recent messages is a custom mod made by us 18 years ago, and it shows all topics. we should be able to remove all offtopics from recent ms so sensitive off topic members are not affected by it. As we all know, the recent message is a very efficient way to track whats happening. But if is full of offtopics, then you loose this ability.

The subject of the off topic and especially in present times now, and the anxiety of all, the content should be interesting to the community. My point was, It should make you happy, Personally Government talk, does not make me happy and many others reported the same. This relates to personal views what is interesting, so this definition is vague. What is interesting? I will try to define that in the Offtopic Guide Lines soon.

The offtopic, If members feel the topic in not interesting, they can say it without any fear being smashed, or offended,neither the poster can be offended by posting the topic. If no one replies you should not continue to post consecutive messages about it to bump it up.

A Public forum is not the place to talk about private concerns, if you wish changes in you account and published data address that on a pm.

When I say Interesting Topicts to this Datsun community. Its is does not include 5g, id2020, facebook. Goverment. Continuing to write about these, is a disrespect to this request.

Unfortunately it was brought to my attention recent incidents and members disputes around personal views and opinions and cases where personal attacks where seen. This has caused members to no longer feel this is a place to be, and requested to be removed or just be away.

I many occasions this is not a heavy moderated place and it had happened before but not to this extent. It might related to the the unseen difficult times the world is facing and its normal to expect high level of stress and anxiety that change your reactive patterns.

Still its not permitted and unacceptable to conduct personal attacks so I relist the rules you all agreed when joining this community:

I will be reviewing the content and latest posts and conduct a heavy moderation period to remove this incidents, and action to members that are breaking forum rules or think there are no reactions to bad conduct.

We created this community to share knowledge about this great piece of automotive history. A car that shaped my automotive DNA and may others here, it made me the Petrol head that I am today.
Lets keep this place, the GotoLocation you want move away of all the news media the stress of the current pandemonia or the place to re energize yourself to get your job back.

I ask to all members to obey forum rules, apply netiquette common sense, dont feed the trolls, be respectful to each other and discuss topics that are interesting to the community.
