Only late facelift B310 coupes with A15's here had the 5 speed which is why they are so hard to find.

It'll be a WP312 wagon. They were sold as a datsun 1200 wagon. I've got a 1962 one...

I've see two rack conversions on B110's here and both were pretty old and had been on competition cars for some time. I don't have a great deal of information on either but I have some pictures.

This first setup is currently on a 1200 coupe rally car. The guy who fitted it got the setup complete from a guy who used it on an ex works GX rally car that originally ran in the Lombard RAC rally in 1974 (I think). It certainly never came from Japan with this setup but was used sucessfully for many years with it. I think it was most likely converted in the late 70's or early 80's. Here's the rack and crossmember on the bench. I believe the rack came from a Talbot Horizon and it looks like the lower arm pivots were altered to match the rack...

Here it is in the car...

Unfortunately it was impossible to get a picture from underneath due to the huge skid plate!

The second setup is in an ex-Janspeed race car. This was apparently another race car from Japan originally but was re-shelled at some point and I'd wager there's not much of the original car left. The rack conversion was most likely done by Janspeed who raced these cars in the Dutch touring car championship. Wether the conversion was done before or after that is unknown. The rack used I have been told, is from a Mini. The crossmember is a much more proffesional looking conversion...

Having had a dabble with R7P conversion myself in the past, I'd definately agree it's something a hell of lot more difficult to get right that you'd think. Tiny changes in height and fore-aft positioning have large effects on geometry let along rack with and pivot considerations. It can be done but it a very long road doing it by trial and error.

If you still need them, I have some complete new tail light assemblies. I don't mind posting them if you're happy to pay the postage. I'll check and see if I have both sides.

If you can't get original parts, you might be able to get the intake manifold from Rally Design here in the UK. They list SU and side draught intakes for A series.

There's something odd going on with that. That's a 310 back end but the chassis plate says 312

Everything is relative. If I could afford to, I would buy this KB10 and ship it here in a heartbeat. I'd gladly pay the asking price to get a solid car.

But then I would also probably pay strong money for a solid 1200 ute too. They might still be common there but here they most definately are not and would command a price equal to or higher than a coupe. Even as an unfinished project I expect I could get a very good price for mine.

Last year I paid the equivelent of nearly $3000AU for a datsun 160J SSS (KP710) that needs restoring. 5 years ago that same car would have been a third of that, but now people are taking notice of the cars at last and there are few left (6 in the case of the KP710).

I know of at least four cars (Three Dattos and a bellet) that have come into the UK from Australia in the last 18 months and as the demand increases people will start to look abroad to get these cars more and more. It's becoming a global market.
