I used to have an SR20DET in my Datsun 1200 coupe which was never going to be legal! The more I thought about that factor the more I thought about discontinuing the project (which I did).
I did get everything in and all fitted quite easily. I saw and took pictures of a datsun 1600 with an NA s15 SR20 in it on the weekend. The guy managed to pick it up for $2000 AU with
only 2000km's on the clock! If you could manage to pick one of these up you'd have a nice NA little package! I haven't checked out the specs of this engine but I'm sure they'd put out a
bit of power.

I spent $600 on buying the diff and then a further $650 having it built for the sr20det and shortened to fit into the 1200 coupe. It is already fitted to the coupe and ready
to go.

I'm not sure what size ring gear it has, I gave the money to a friend who did all the running around for me because I am always at work!

He's still got my receipts to so I'll grab them and see if any specs were written down.

I'm asking about $850 (I'm losing out since I haven't even started the car with it in there). At the moment I need as much money as I can for my project so I am open to
offers.

Well I had the exact same problem (on a different car) recently and it started shooting some oil out the exhaust, it ended up being 1 single
spark plug lead.

I went with the Bluebird TRX Series III diff. From what I know the Navara LSD centre bolts straight in. I currently have my setup for sale (because I never got the time to
get the 1200 finished). If your interested in buying it I have all the reciepts and spent roughly $1250 on it. It never had a chance to run with the SR20 so it's practically
brand new!

Well, after this weekend I took a long hard look at my coupe and decided to part with it. I haven't the time to continue with this project, I've ripped out the sr20det (sorry
I didnt take any pictures of it for you) and am going to put it into my bluebird. Is anyone interested in buying the coupe?

It has:
Stanza front struts
Custom SR20DET engine and gearbox mounts
Series III Bluebird Diff
Body is fairly straight, rust in door panels
TRX 15" Alloys
No engine/gearbox
Custom made surge tank/intercooler plumbing
Ummm... what else..

$1250

I am in the Adelaide area, if anyone is interested drop me an email at cookie123456789@hotmail.com

Sorry, I should have mentioned that $1200 included purchasing the diff, as well as getting it shortened
and reconditioned. :)

I'm not to sure what I am going to go for yet but I believe there are 3-4 different ratio Navara LSD's. I am also wondering whether there will be a cost difference involved but since
my budget has been shrinking in past weeks it'll be a while until I get around to doing it.

The project has come to a huge halt, I am thinking of ripping the SR out to put in my TRX because my stock CA20 is annoying me, then I'll just have to buy another package to slip in
the 1200. We'll have to wait and see!

Paul: I used the diff out of a series III trx sedan. It cost me a hefty $1200 to get shortened!! At the moment it's the second most expensive item on the car. I was led to
believe that the navara lsd would bolt straight in but I could be wrong, nothings impossible tho :)

PS. I am sure I'll be having lots & lots of fun!

Well, so far I have the front setup with complete stanza struts. My diff is from a Series III Bluebird TRX shortened to fit. At the moment I am looking at fitting a Navara LSD
center!

I haven't got any type of fines yet (I don't want to speak to soon!). Hopefully the car should be setup to pull low 12's if wheel spin isn't an issue. My aim (longterm) is the 9-
10's bracket.

South Australian rules are much stricter than NSW (from what I've heard) and the conversion I have done has not been and probably can't be RTA approved at all. The first time I
get it started and take it for a drive I could be defected. If that is the case I'll tub it and make a drag car :)
