How many of you would be willing to buy a new A-series injection manifold? I have a friend who has the contacts to get this done if we come up with a large enough order. We're just in the talking stage right now, but if there is enough interest it could go ahead. Also, taking into account exchange rates and shipping costs from Texas, what would you be willing to pay for one? How "finished out" would you want/expect it to be? I mean, do you want rough cast runners you have to port to shape or straight bolt on affairs? My thinking is the rough ports would be sized for an A-12's round holes but there would be enough meat to hog it out to an oval port A-14 or 15. Any additional thoughts would be appreciated.

If you cast one up it should be able to port out to the works gasket size

I would be interested in one. I'm new so I really don't count yet but it would save me a bunch time and energy..mostly because my welding skills suck.

Hey Dimlight - depending on the $$ your talking about I may be interested. Could you put together a full swap out kit or what? I woudln't know how to use it with just the manifold. I'm in Dallas so shipping isn't an issue :) I'd probably want a bolt on for an A14 and details to make it work, but I could probably hog out to bolt up. But don't they have different bolt patterns (round port vs. oval port)?

Michael

Since most people would be using different forms of fuel/spark control, putting together a bolt-on kit wouldn't be very cost effective. I could help you put together what you need though...

Yes, but I think you could easily have the manifold use both?

I'll buy one! how much?

Make them take the same injectors as the GA16de, so we can use the ga16de ECU to run it and it will work awesome.

I'd pay $200+ to have one. make them fairly clean so we don't have to port them unless we want to.

make the bottom of the round and oval ports match, since that's where most of the flow is, the oval port people should be able to open up the top of the manifold flange to match their ports.

** I'd swear that the oval and round port intakes have exactly the same studs, the GX intake has one in the center that some heads may not have an existing hole for. ( my round port A15 has the hole... )

I don't know much about EFI. What basic parts would you need for a swap?

As for the different bolt patterns, I'd try to make it fit either. As for the oval versus round ports, yes the bottom of both line up pretty well and I'd leave room to port it upwards.
Any suggestions from Australia or New Zealand? I'd be willing to ship if you're willing to buy.

Not to sound snotty but there are lots of books and websites and such on what is needed for an EFI conversion. Basically, you need a high pressure fuel pump, an ECU, and whatever sensors it needs for its parameters. Oh, and a fuel injection manifold of some sort and injectors of course.

Make me one! I already have most of an e15et rigged to run off ga16de ecu and wiring harness, so adapting that to A15 is easy.

tuning weber is making me crazy!
point me to a chart of air /fuel ratio vs EGT and make things easier....

It sounds pretty exciting, I may be up for one, if they work out at a reasonable price

Making them take a factory fuel rail may save some costs
