Yes. Stock a12's make not much power. So adding a supercharger will make it make more power. It all depends on how it is geared up.
It's a lot easier said than done though.

Do a bit of research on this forum. HEAPS of different paths have been taken in reguards to sucking all the potential power out of a A series.

How much power is more? Do you want to blow away new 6ltr V8s? Do you want nice reliable punch when you need it? Do you just want to be able to keep up with traffic?

What is your budget. Sure ideas of superchargers and turbos are nice but can ve very expencive and unreliable at the best of times! And remember you will have to upgrade your suspension, brakes, diff, gearbox while you at it!

Have you figured out how you plan to control the shift modulation of the auto trans since it relies on vacuum & you plan on running boost?
Have you thought about reworking the trans so that this extra power doesn't rip up the 35 year old clutch packs & band linings?

It might be an idea if you did to save yourself some nasty little surprises in the future.

I've actually heard that the A series auto transmissions are pretty tough units. But you raise a valid point about the vaccuum thing though.
