I bought an inlet manifold from a14 force, got a tour of his projects and went for a ride in his car. It's got a 1500 with a supercharger - I'm sure he can describe it better than me. In a ten-minute trip 'round the block I became a convert to forced induction. Neck-dislocating acceleration and white knuckles! If he offers you a lift, take your heart pills, then call the chiropractor.

I have to agree, I spent about ten seconds driving a turboed A series at full boost, that was all I had the courage for, it was a real handfull.

im not trying to be negative but realistic...

what kind of forced induct a series are you riding in??? anything under 170hp at the treads is quite tame and well mannered and there probably isnt but a handfull of those in the country at best.

having said that the feeling of it coming on boost really is enjoyable... everyday!!

c'mon picko, you dont need that much power in a 1200 to get in trouble on the streets..

you can get in trouble in a standard 1200 if your going too fast for a corner etc. that is not what i am talking about. below that power it is not really a speed that catches you out. that is what gets you in trouble. in a powerful car you can get to speed in a short space and if you are not preparedfor this watch out. those with the power know what i am talking about. as far as sideways is concerned... it is easier but still required alot of rpm and a good clutch kick to step it out.

Supercharged engines are VERY different to turbo motors. With a hair dryer you boot it, then a few seconds later you get a push in the back. Supercharged motors are on full boost the instant WOT is acheived. Torque is LOTS of fun.
