I need to buy a Toyota T50 T3 gearbox to Datsun A series motor bellhousing.

I need the one which has the four bolt, square mounting flange (not the round one) for the throw out bearing slide shaft and to suit the 68mm input shaft bearing, the T2 has the round flange and a 62mm input shaft bearing.

Just throwing it out there if anybody wants to sell theirs before I order one from Dellow.

Post here if you send me a PM.

Got rid of the Getrag boxes a while ago, sold them to buy a new close ratio straight cut dog box out of Canada.

My brains abit foggy on this...I did my T50 conversion a long time ago
I know the front being size and the output shaft splines are different
But I thought the bolt up pattern was still the same oval design just with the bearing area machined different

Sure its an all alloy case T50 not a steel case W50 ?
The W50 is abit squarer in its pattern

What you have there dattoman is a T2 gearbox, have a look in the middle and bottom pics and you will see what I mean about the 4 bolt flanged shaft which the throw out bearing carrier slides on, the one in the pic is a round flange where it bolts to the bellhousing and the T3 gearboxs have a square flange.

You are right, the bolt up pattern for the bellhousing to the gearbox is the same for both T2 and T3 and the output shaft spline count differs between the two, looking at the flange type (round or square) is just a quick way of checking what you have.

I'm chasing the square type flange bellhousing with a 68mm input shaft bearing size.

If you google toyota t50 and look at the images there are plenty of pics of the square flange ones.
