A14T came with Hitachi Twin Carburetors, but was not a big-port engine like the A12GX or the A12T
* standard oval port A14
* small next-gen Hitachi SUs with automatic chokes

Source
* JDM 1976-1977 F10 Cherry F-II GX Twin
* JDM 1976-1977 B210 Sunny 1400 GX-T (regular 1400 GX was single carb)

The A14T system is easily recognizable by its 4-bolt pattern

Also readily identifiable by the round automatic chokes on the sides, just like a downdraft carburetor.

The A14T carburetors are unique

* Triangular air flange with D-shaped choke
* 38mm bore with 4-bolt flange

At first glance they look similar to 260Z carburetors, which also have a triangle-ish air flange and 4-bolt manifold flange. But 260Z has a square choke, and is a visibly larger carburetor with 46mm bore

And the sides that face each other, with the

* throttle shafts
* Idle Mixture System hose ports
* choke pull-offs (choke breaks)

The A14T is a great system to retrofit

* Intake and carburetors assembly bolts to a standard A14 oval-port cylinder head
* No need to swap to a big-port head as required by the A12GX or A12T twin carburetors
* Uses standard Hitachi/Holley/Weber electric Automatic Choke mechanism

With the A14T induction system, you can use the Factory air filter, or any of the aftermarket types like individual sock air filters. You may need to modify the base plate to accommodate the triangle flanges

Here's the factory air cleaner, with factory Datsun blue

Not the sleekest looking airclean housing, what with the ungainly bulges. But the biggest of them, the AIS bulge can be partially removed if your A14/A15 doesn't have AIS

This one is custom-painted red

It uses the same oval air filter element as the A12GX air cleaner and the B210 A12T air cleaner

It is necessary to connect the hot-air duct if you live in anywhere the temperature gets below 5C, it will prevent carburetor freezing. This air duct is a different length than the standard unit

It is advisable to connect it up in all climates, as it ensures consistent air temperature for precise jetting (Nissan ATC system)

the air cleaner looks complicated, but is very similar to USA B210 and late JDM B210 single carb air cleaner

The most problematic thing here is the Vacuum Motor, which sometimes start leaking so not only does the system stop working, but causes a vacuum leak. Plug the hose if this happens. A replacement can be taken off a single-carburetor air cleaner

None of the following are needed for the twin carbs, but are beneficial in some ways. These are also used on single-carb air cleaners
* AIS (air induction system)
* Automatic Temperature Control system)
* Idle Compensator raises the idle if the air gets too hot

* Filter in center, I have no idea
* Connector Screw, I have no idea

Now this is good news. The spark arrestor (backfire suppressor) is a standalone unit you can stick in the breather hose. For the B110 it was sold only with the hose. I think it is a 280Z part number?

Nissan 15296-E4600 FLAME ARRESTOR

The CONTROL VALVE is some kind of anti-pollution switch, and is not needed to operate the twin-carbs

To suck up those smelly fumes from the fuel tank and make your ride smell as sweet as it looks

Nissan 14950-S3001 EVAPORATION CANISTER

4-port type, as used on many late 70s/80s Nissans. S30 is C310 Nissan Laurel, and among other models, this charcoal canister was used by:

USA
* B210
* B310 Datsun 210
* N10 Datsun 310
JAPAN
* N12 Pulsar
* B11 Sunny
