Was just wondering if anyone has any experience with these?
they are listed (www.kingsprings.com) as a reverse eye design but i have no idea if they are any good
so can anyone shed some light?
height drop
spring rate/ride quality
any good at reducing axle tramp
general comments

cheers
Nick

King Springs have a pretty good reputation here in Sydney.

I'm sure that if they sagged (which can happen), you could get them re-set at a local springs dealer in NZ.

Check whether they are reverse eyed, with either an extra leaf or a fatter leaf.

No personal experience with the King Springs leaf springs products though.

i know they are definitely reverse eye, it states in the catalogue.
I'm not too worried about sag etc i'm more interested in how they perform particularly about when it comes to axle tramp and spring rate.

Basically i want some John taylor springs but i can't obviously get them over here in NZ so if these king springs are good then i can easily source them locally.

I went to buy a pair through Repco who deal king springs and when he entered it in it came up saying they're no longer available. I too dont understand why if king springs still have them in the parts list. So maybe you should check to see if they still exist.

Ok heres the verdict.
King springs don't stock them anymore and i was told they are an "indent" which means that you have to pay up first then they will make them for you.
They are however bloody expensive, i was told around NZ$400 per side.
I'll pass i think

Just go to Ballamy & East, or Chamberlains, and they will reset yours. Quite cheap too.

We looked at a pair of reverse eye for the race car and decided to have Kings reset our orignal springs - which work fine with the shock/sway bar arrangement that we have.
They are not as expensive as you indicate above. They were around the $400-$500 per pair by memory.
I have just rung Kings and they still make reverse eye leaf springs, but only for the Coupe. Other than that they will make to order from a sample or reset your old ones.
Hope this helps - the coupe has different springs to the ute and sedan etc
I see that you are in NZ so Kings may not be an easy answer
Regards
Adam
