Looking through the forum and seeing a few 1200's with ca18 and sr20's motor, Not liking to cut away the gearbox well, So rotary looks a better way as there small and compact, BUT the front mounting is a worrie i think!!, The rotary h/cuts are alot cheaper than nissan cuts, Any tips will help on the engine mount.......

hmmm i thought that rotary half cuts were about the same as the nisssan half cuts, if we're talking 13b turbo... the gearboxes are huge and definately require a new tunnel anyway! its the motor thats compact. see ANGE's car in the photo album, he's done a nice 12a conversion

i think that u may find a 13b turbo extremely hard to engineer and register. even a 13b will be hard enough.
i am a fan of the rotary engines, but they have their place, and its not under a datsun bonnet.
anyway if you really want a rotary i would start with a 12a non turbo, get some mounts made up and a radiator to suit put in, cut tunnel to fit a gearbox (most likely) build a fuel system (depending on if your're goin injection or carby as to how much work is in that) and make some engine mounts etc etc.
after all that try get it engineered and a RWC. then and only then, would i ask my engineer about a turbo. and if a turbo isn't an option then start building a nice periph-port or bridge-port or something similar, that will keep you on a one block radius of a fuel station.

Rotary's are hard to work with and are a bit.... if want a good engine try a 4AGE (non rotary). 4AGE 20V: The engine makes 118kW at 7400rpm with a fairly linear power curve.
