I understand that the 1.5 way works under load and the 2 way works even when de-accelerating. Does that make a big difference on the street?? We are talking a street car, not for drifting or race track etc. Ive spent a decent amount on parts (A14) these last few week and aiming over 100+ hp, hopefully with some torque as well. It's a H165 diff. also chasing 3.7 ratio to suit !!

lol thats not a great answer without any reasoning

i just helped a mate pick up a skyline with 2 way mechanical diff, he struggled to turn around in my street, quite similar to a welded diff, with tyres chirping and wheel spin required to get it to turn around. so yeah could be a right pain in the butt on the street if daily driving it

H165 LSD Conversion, includes KAAZ LSD, $2200 Tim 02 45772400

Sick of playing the waiting game for a genuine 1 to turn up, so I have ordered 2 of these.

These are a ramp and slide style diff. Very good, and can be set up in many different ways, For street use, a 1.5 way is the best way to go. The 1.5 way is a common diff for racing as it does not give understeer on de acceleration through cornering but gives a hard clamping force under acceleration. These diffs can usually be set up as preloaded or non preloaded depending on what application you want. Porche Cup use a 1.5 way asw well as Lamborghini Gallardo as standard for their GT3 and road cars. (earlier Gallardo use a 2 way)

Did you get them from the USA? Or local?

For some info there is a video, it doesn't explain much but it gives you a general idea. KAAZ Video

1200... you more or less answered your own question, 2 way LSD typically dont unload and are a right pain to drive in the suburbs. Uturns and such just put unwanted loadings on the rear end. 1.5's is better suited for the task.

I have that so called 2 way that 1200rallycar is talking about it's not that bad once u get used to it but a little more slip would be nice, but your talking about 100hp in the datto mate I'd save my money and buy a phantom grip and buy and buy and buy as they only cost like 200/400 dollars depending on where u get from or build or shorten another LSD to suit the datto, the only reason my r32 has 2way is cos it's pushing 260whp that's my thoughts anyways as I've had LSD,phantom, open h165,locked h164, open/locked h145
