Simple turbo setup with some flattop pistons, small cam and extractor to exhaust setup should easily be what your after, then depending on your tuning and how much PSI you are wanting to run over the engine you could be getting 200hp (149.14 Kw) but that would be pushing it hard.

With a simple turbo setup you could get about 120rwkw - 130 odd for cruising but even then 120kw will be an absolute weapon on the street in such a small car

You don't need the most power you need useable power. Seen heaps of large turboed skylines and Silvia's with heaps of power blasted away by taxis til about 80kmh when they spool up lol. By then taxis diwn the road lol.

Go for torque over out right power, that's what a series lacks

Here's a nice example of what you can potentially get out of an A15..

Mick's motorsport A15 running 11.4's 1/4 quater mile smoking a stock R35 GTR

A better question is: What can you get from an A15 for $3500? Would that build a bigE-type 180 HP including all machining, parts and labor?

an A series datsun (700-800kg) with about 100hp at the wheels is fast enough i reckon.

the guy who built/owns the 11 sec a series ute has been building it for many years and owns an engineering workshop,so the amount of hours put into it to get these results would cost the normal joe blo a fortune, micks motorsport only did the tuning as far as i know.before it was turbo it was still ridiculously quick but.
