I've done some search through the wiki and the search bar with some mixed results Just after a good brake upgrade for my 1980 sunny, it's running a sr20det, is there a good upgrade for the standard strut or would I be better off going to a different strut with an easier brake upgrade Opinions

It is not common to upgrade, since B310 already has large 245mm disc brakes. The S13 250 mm discs might fit with custom bracket.
If your sunny was an A12 model, it might have the small 220 mm brakes, in which case swapping in A14 sunny struts is the way to go. Need struts, ball joint and knuckle arms.

Yeah it was the a12 model, the disc is a reasonable size but the brake pads are stupidly small

I've done abit more research and found a pic that pigdog put up saying a Vt caliper bolts directly to the sunny strut, also does anyone know if this works with the verada disc, and if so what model is needed

S13 Brakes swap is a good one. But there are 4 different S13 brake systems so make sure you get the right parts.

A mate has bmw 4 pots (very similar to hilux) with verada discs on his sr20 sunny. Requires the use of 240k/200b struts but have a look here for more info http://ozdat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=16542
