Don't discard the diff too quickly as they might have a lot to offer.
They are 4.11 to 1 ratio but use a different axle spline to the later ones. I think that these rear ends also use the larger brakes of the later models too.

The best part is that the carrier is alloy.

The 411 uses axles the same size as B10 axles,(maybe even the same axles)?

So a ute diff H165 centre wont be interchangeable with the 411 H165 centre in the 411 housing?

A Topgear LSD isnt compatable to the 411 H165 diff centre?

Yeh i dug up a old post D made in 03 about a P411 poobird H165 bolting upto a 1000, same width and everything! Then i was planning on using the old diff in it till Topgear makes his new batch and then use one of them.

So axle splines could be different? Or is it just length. becasue ive heard from another sorse (Neil?) that H165 and H145 have matching axles or something. i hope it is the spline. Ill have to get Neil to look at his 180B wag diff for me!!!

i can get one if you want it. its from a bluebird wagon so i don't know if its 411 or 410, how do i tell. centre is already spoken for but axels and housing still available.

ps as i remember the axels are 22 spline...

Can anyone confirm that a 410 and 411 are the same diff? I would imagine so being the same basic car (i think they are). And if its a H165 i can just throw a diff center from another H165 in? I just measured a H145 axle spline and its 22mm diamiter on the tooth of the spline and has 22 teeth. So it sounds good so far.

Can someone confirm that other H165's have the same spline?
