Wiki: JCCS

What was it like in 2022?

The Japanese Classic Car Show was held 29 October 2022 at Marina Green Park in Long Beach, California, right next to long sandy beach and the Queen Mary superliner

Nearly 500 vintage cars (kyusha) were on display as the weather reached a peak of 21C. Perfect weather with early for and overcast skies for those dreamy car photos

Would you believe it? 1995s now qualify as a "vintage" car (25+ years old), or as JCCS likes to call it, "kyusha" (old car/kyuu sha/旧車). That explains those S13 and S14 that showed up

Motor Trend covered the show: Japanese Classic Car Show: Nissan and Datsun Mania!

While 2021's visit to Anaheim was a smash success, there was no denying that the return to Long Beach felt familiar and welcoming to the thousands of fans that visited throughout the day

The Datsun/Nissan crowd turns out in force with some epic cars and trucks. Here are the Sunny photos I spotted in the 118 photos

And finally, a nice Datsun 320 photobombed by a B120 with modular wheels. Are those S12s?

Another look at the show: Japanese Classic Car Show – Celebrating a Lesser-Known Hot Rod Scene by Goodguys Rod and Custom Assocation
Quote:
Southern California’s Japanese Classic Car Show (JCCS) celebrates a very different type of automobile: older models restored to showroom condition, mixed with cleverly modified examples – many packing some serious power.

There's that B120 with the [not-modular] wide jellybean wheels

We are experiencing a rare snow day here in Seattle, and I'm enjoying this virtual car show via the interwebs, and thinking about the next JCCS and warmer days to come

After all, it's only 1,865 kilometers. A Datsun would make that trip with how many millions of revs? I guess 2 million revolutions on the little A12

Humorous article from Motorhead Mama about the 2022 JCCS: Dude or Dbag: The Haircuts of JCCS

Anyways, aside from the fashions (or lack thereof), two photos caught my eye:

1. 1978 Datsun B210 GX. Is that a B310 stripe? It reminds me of Lancer Hatchback/Mitsubishi Celeste/Plymouth Arrow for some reason. I like those Datsun Option Wheels

2. This guy's aloha shirt. Wow! Are those 1200s?

Turns out they are 1200 Corollas. Where can I get a shirt like that, only with Datsun 1200s?
