I hope this works. It looks pretty clean but the motor is worse than I though. I think the oil rings are had it but i'm no expert. I think i'll lose the driving lights & towbar first & get a decend sound system. It has a cassette player/AM radio, no FM!!!. I can't even run my IPod. I wouldn't mind a 5spd box but don't want to cut up the transmission tunnel.

Thanks a lot. I'll try again when I have some more photos.

You don't have to cut up the trans tunnel if you put a Datsun 60 or 63 5 speed in.

Thanks, what do they originally come out of? Did the sit behind A12's or were they behind A14's & A15's.

Best bet in Aussie for the 60 series is the 310 Sunny - A15 motor. In NZ they were behind some of the A14 and A15 Sunny's. In Aus I got a late model import 60 series out of a 120Y once - sometimes your best bet is to buy the whole car with the 5 speed and resell it with your 4 speed slotted back in. In the US we have 63A 5 speeds (strong box with L series internals) behind 120Y's and Sunny's. The 63A is overkill for you unless you plan on going racing.

That sounds great. I'm not going to race it & I'm not after huge horsepower but a 1500 with some decent carbs & a 5spd should get up & boogie. I've already got discs & it stops really well. I think they might be stanza because the track seems to be wider than my daughter's 1200.
