personally i wouldnt pay 12 large for a paintjob, bit like paying 200 dollars for a haircut, i just dont see the point.
but if yours or dads pockets are deep enough and the prospect of forking out 12 grand doesent bother you, go for it.

I wouldn't even consider it. You could strip your ute to a bare shell, buy yourself a mig welder, an air compressor, and all the gear you need, teach yourself to weld on the frame, stuff it up and have to start again 6 times, teach yourself to spray paint, and have to remove what you've tried 11 times before your satisfied, and still end up with the same job those blokes will do, and you'll do it yourself, so you'll do wverything to the standards you expect, and you'll walk away with skills that will last you a life time. And a mig welder. And a compressor. And all the extra tools. And a sense of self satisfaction that will beat anything else you'll ever do.

My 5c worth

my paint job was about 8 grand with new front gaurds, bonnet, tailgate and rust cut out of the sills. interior also fully painted. i painted it the new mazda silver which is metallic so i suppose that would add a bit to the price as well.

For that sort of money you might as well go get yourself a brand new bakkie and bring her over.

It cost me 4 grand to replace both rear quarters, both guards, the bonnet and both sills on my B120, all work done by myself. It took a few years to do, but well worth it. If you've got that much money to spend, why not do it yourself and sink the rest of the money into the motor.
