I don't know about NSW, but SR20 n/a is engineerable into a 1200 ute.
Most people go for a CA18 turbo or a SR20 N/a, something to so w/ power - weight.
Someone will hopefully expand on that for you lol.

SR20DET is allowed under Individually Constructed Vehicle certification.

SR20DE will be acceptable for registration as a modified production vehicle.

Thanks guys, I'll go sr20de cause I'm going to use it for work so it'll be a everyday car, don't want turbo it'll be abit heavy on fuel. Just got a shell so any parts motors let me no guys, ready to buy
