I found an A14 engine with twin SU carby with extractors dont know the price yet...
What sort of price can I get these package?
What else do I need if I go ahead with this conversion?
A14 engine + new gearbox?
or can I use my existing stock gearbox for now?
Please advise as the guy selling it just called me.

Do you need an engineer's certificate for A12 to A14 conversion on 81 Sunny?

I shouldn't think so as you're only increasing the cubic capacity of the motor by a relatively small amount and there isn't a great deal of engineering involved... However Things may vary from State to State so the best thing is to go to your Licensing Department and get the right advice from them. Hope this helps

standard gearbox should be fine.
I'm still using my 1200 one, and I think Sunny ones are even stronger (Althoguh not sure)
So you should be fine.
With engineering.
It's best to check with your rego place.
But I shouldn't think it would be a problem.
Some sunny's had an A15 in them from the factory. I don't think that they had any brake upgrades or anything like that. So you should be fine I think.
How much is the A14 gonna be?

I'm still looking for A14
I found one but he wants $500 for A14 with twin SU + extractors
I think thats expensive
not sure about the labour yet as I cant do it myself dont know that much yet...

there's an A15 at the local wreckers for $500 + $350 for fitting it but thats for straight fit only if I put A15 It needs a few modifications on mountings so more $$$
