Hi im thinking of building a hard lid for my 1200 ute, dose anyone know how to structure the inside ? and what else should i use with the fibreglass???

im building a steel frame to go around the edges of the tray and screwing down a big piece of 9mm plywood.
pics to come soon (when i finally get time to start)

You could alway save your money ,myself and oan878 are on the verge of making the sexiest lokkin hard lid this side of the planet ,Its currently under construction but not far off being available .....................

hmm, now i wonder how much itwould cost 2 send one of these down 2 canberra. i would be interested. just a query, may have all ready been discusted with you. wats the go with making clear tail light lenses, have you ever looked in 2 doin that stuff 2. there was a fella on here called wally, who started but never finished his quest

the hard lid is very nice indeed oan878 and I spent sunday fitting it up the sides roll over and meet the top line of the quarter panel so you will have to remove the hooks we will be putting in some effort in over the next few weeks to finish it ...........

I've got one on my ute, it's all fibreglass as far as i know. I actually found the bloke on here. Here's a picture of mine.

. By the way, the old girl has 15" Superlites, black with silver lip, on now.

Here's where i got mine from. Datsun Ute Lids. The bloke is very professional and the finish on the lid was great and it fit straight away.

i priced the same hard cover as bvc and they wanted $2000.
