..anyway what would you do??dual45s,or 4 barrel holley??
The theoretical air consumption of a 2 litre engine [say,... 120 cubic inches] at 100% volumetric efficiency, at 10,000 rpm, is 347cfm, so if you are going to run a Holley, then a 350cfm carb should more than do it, but a vacuum secondary four barrel version would be my recomendation if you want to drive it on the street.
The two barrel carbs no longer meter fuel correctly when vacuum drops below 3" of mercury when measured at the venturi, but four barrel carbs are designed to meter fuel correctly down to 1-1/2" of mercury vacuum. This means that at wide open throttle you stand a better chance of still geting fuel into the engine with a four barrel & the vacuum secondaries will help ensure that gas velocities do not drop too low to maintain mixture stability.
As for me, I'm a Carter man & AFB's rule. Other cars suffer from Holley Pox.
