Hey I have a model of this car. It's an old motorized plastic kit by Crown Japan. I would post a photo but don't know how.

Well so far, we are going at three for three with headrests being fitted to Victorian cars.
Does anyone have a verifyable non-Victorian KB10 with original headrests?

By the way Daniel, maaaaate, what do you have in mind for them?

my car is in brisbane and is believed to be a brisbane car all it's life. It has the holes in the seat for the headrests but the headrests are gone. I would say someone has thrown them out during it's life. I am putting race seats in anyway so doesn't bother me. my seats need a full retrim anyway as the vynil is gone.

I still have the original radio in mine with the speaker box which I am going to stick back in the car. I have a friend who reckons he will convert it internally for me to a fm tuner but keep the original look. Bet there is not many factory radios still around.

my 2 door sedan also had headrests and the seats were in that horrible brown colour but the person I bought the car off kept them.
the 2 door sedan had some nissan motor sport parts on it as well which he kept. I really wanted the factory spot lights he pinched off it.

the sedan has been pretty much stripped but I do have boxes of stuff in the car I haven't looked through yet, there might be some good stuff yet to turn up.

also as a note I have noticed that the headrest seats have horzontal stiching across them and the non headrest don't. I am thinking it might of been a special interior upgrade option.

KB10 front seats were built with 'provision' for headrests, but the headrests were only installed if the customer ordered them from the options list.
In standard trim they came with these little plugs in the holes.
They are part No. 86981- A0601.- Plug- Head Restraint. & I bought these new about 18 months ago.

The lack of these plugs does not mean that restraints were fitted as most of the plugs are missing these days & like mine, your car probably never
had restraints fitted.

If your B10 two door sedan had brown seats with head restraints, I would say that they were not the
original seats as no reference to head restraints in any non-coupe model is made in any of my sales brochures,
or in the parts book.
Brown was not an original colour either as the interior came in red, blue, black & white up to Sept 1968,
& the blue was deleted after that, again, according to the parts book.[I guess that they would know]

The illustration below is of the only 'optional' light that was available on non-coupe models & it was called
a 'fog light'. Is this exactly what the lights looked like on your sedan before the previous owner removed
them, or were they later Nissan/ sports accessories?

It is part No. 26150- 18001. Assy. Lamp, Fog with bracket.
Opt all exc Coupe.

Im sorry but do you think a new "headrests" topic could be formed?

Cheers, Ian

yep,

those look like similar to what was on the car, they were a real dull yellow colour type glass.

hmm wonder why my sedan has that horrible light tan trim in it if it wasn't an option. don't really care as I am using the car only to make the suspension etc fit before attacking to fastback.
