Im no guru but, lumpier generally means the cam holds the valves open longer and opens them further, technically correct, length they are held open is referred to as duration, and height is referred to as lift.

A 'lumpy cam' increases the distance your valves are opened and how long they are opened for thus increasing the amount of fuel allowed to enter the combustion chamber in a cycle and the amount of spent fuel to exit the chamber in that same cycle. this allows more power to be made by burning more fuel each cycle.

i have a turbo grind cam with a stock carbie, it works, might be a bit quicker if you used a different carbie though...

Most places will do a regrind on your existing cam or need one for exchange.

I think it costs around $100 for a cam grind, most places will have many to suit a-series.

You could try one of the xf type webers or similar type weber, or maybe just rejet the original, or try a 40mm sidedraft weber
