I was going to be working all weekend but it was cancelled at the last minute.
So I decided to have a play with the "Loaner". It is an Automatic A15 powered 120Y. Budget, $0
First up was a set of extractors and an exhaust. A bit of mucking around as the extractors were off a manual B120.
Next up was a quick lowering job.
First the rear. I flipped the bottom leaf and placed it on the top of the spring pack. This flattens the spring pack out . . .
Then I moved onto the front. Using B110 strut tops in a 120Y lowers the front by 1 1/2". The PCD is different (slightly) so I knocked the studs out, elongated the holes with a die grinder, put the 120Y studs in. Gave them a zzzap to stop the moving during assembly. The hole the in the B210 strut tower needs to be opened up, I used a set of vice grips. Went a little at a time, about 4 times around.
Completed - notice strut tops.
How it sits now. . .
There were a few issues along the way, found locknuts on the front wheels, ended up dissassembling the strut in the tower. . .
The exhaust had the rear hanger in a different place. The auto meant the pipe had to be cut clear. . .
Budget over-run. $60 to the exhaust shop. Had them put a flange on and mod the pipe.
