PS: for all these other people that are just looking at the thread and not replying..

When I heard the news I was truly shocked and numbed...Steve Irwin was a great guy too but Pete was a true legend and a fantastic ambassador for Motorsport and Australia. I find a little ironic that he died driving a replica of a Ford Daytona Coupe. I haven't talked to him for years but he was a top bloke and will be missed. His influence on so many young people creating the dream of motorsport glory will be hard to replace. And remember there is a 1200 Datsun link....his first Bathurst drive was to be in a 1200 sedan but he was convinced to pedal a Holden by the wily Harry Firth and the rest is history..

Yes, but it apparently had a heart of pure 'almost holden' gen 3 gold. Just the handling of a ford.

It was a shock wasnt it? Our whole workshop froze and the radio got tuned up!

Also at least one of the members here on Datsun1200 were first on the scene! Aaron AKA 'Pro'. Also Deza and Vaughan from Ozdat WA were there too. All 3 were marchelling the stage when it happened! They were there when his passing was anounced...

RIP Brock. Im not old enough to remember you in your hey day, but that doesnt matter. Everybody even veigly interested in Motorsports knows who you are! A true Legend, King of the mountain!
