take away any load or restrictions

i.e.,

- put 2 inch exhaust with extractors
- weber carb if ya can get em there, we get em off 2ltr ford cortina and escorts
- thermo maybe
- change cam too

the usual stuff really, best cheap mods is prob exhaust and carb

get rid of the mech if your radiators upto the job without a mech fan

the mech fan puts load on the motor that doesnt need to be there, a thermo fan will help acceleration mainly as there is less force holding the motor back

only problem is a mech fan flows a lot more air than a thermo and without a decent radiator you might overheat

same as elec water/fuel/oil pumps but the others are a lot more expensive

Actualy the fan is not adding or taking away any HP, it only causes an HP restriction, try revviing your datto to 6000 rpm with a fixed fan and then without...

It is now 1:20 PM, for small sprints like the 1/4 mile you can even shorten the fan belt to not drive the alternator, there's pro' and cons to that one....

hell you may as well drain the oil and water too, forget the water pump, rig a bottle of petrol up above the carb to feed petrol so you dont need that etc. etc.

she'll be right mate they'll let you run it
