Anyone who has any interest in cars knows how cool datsuns are. The others dont matter anyway. If you drive a neat 1200 its like flies to honey for all types of people. You will always get someone asking you about it or giving you the thumbs up. So many people who own big dollar cars would love a 1200( or already own one) as a good little run around.

It is true that people give away good 1200's but its usually to someone taking advantage of a little old man or lady who has no idea. Then, because it cost them nothing or stuff all, they thrash the snot out of it and crash it or roll it.

If you are prepared to wait one will come up but, real good ones, that havn't been bogged and molested or crashed or have rust or had holes cut in them are very rare indeed and the sale price will reflect that.

Matto I honestly hope u find one because Im on thet journey too, all I know that after looking for a year is that I still cant find one that has no rust and rego in NSW VIC or Queensland for under $1000. If you want a car with rego for under a grand go look for an EA falcon they are crap and the price reflects them
