hey all peoples well my younger brother has now got hims self a 1200 sedan and has got the need for speed that comes with the datsun bug and he wants to turbo charge the a12 as i have no idea about turbos i thought i chould ask here its for rallying and dosnt need to be flash and i understand that you can run a turbo without air cooler and was after some pictures or someone that can explain it to me.

mate, try the search function on the left hand side of your screen. you should find all you need with that as there are a stack of turbo a series gettin around

this is what im looking at but what i dont get is how every thing works does it just presureize the carby can you use the stock carby or do i have to mod it and the fuel does it just work like a normal carby just pressureized is this motor stock? and how much did you want for the turbo setup

that is a stock motor with high comp head. Probably why it busted pistons when the boost was upped. It presuurises the carb yes, but the carb has been sealed to hold the boost. How much boost it would take to start leaking I dont know. Although it seems the motor will go before the carb leaks boost. Fuel goes in via a fuel reg, so that as boost increases, it lets in more fuel to match it.
Including the head i would want $1000 for this setup at the moment.
