I can try and top that ( having never smelt that ELF stuff )Avgas and castor oil out of the pipe, yummy carcinogens.

hopefully i havent damged the box permentaly

Probably not. It may make a little noise from here on out, but I wouldn't worry about it unless it keeps getting worse.

You can also take the shifter out and (slowly) fill it until oil begin to run out the side hole. This takes some patience.

i have drained the box and i wouldnt have even got a glass full of oil!!!!! #### i dint think to check my gear box oil but i will from now on! so i put new oil in and put G70 Nulon gearbox treatment in as weelllll.. the box is running good now

does 1st gear have synco on the datto boxs?
is 2nd gear the highest shaft in the box??

i also found a number 2 tab in the drain pan so a tab was broken on the 2nd snycro at some point

Yes, all forward gears are synchro.

All the gears are on the top shaft. The mainshaft (top) has 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears. 4th is direct drive (no gears). The counter gearshaft has the corresponding gears for 1st 2nd and 3rd on it.
