I've learnt that any conversion is legal in the ACT, back in the day it was the only place in Aust that would register left hand drives

10k lol. It would be snapped up in 2 seconds flat!
If you reckon its only worth 10 youve obviously got no idea of the expense to build such a beast, not to mention the modifications involved. A ca or sr are drop in compared to an fj.
Would have to be worth 16. Especially when engineered. It would waste just about anything on the street, no sweat.

Then Burke is right, it would get 10k easy. These prices are matters of opinion, it's been dealt with numerous times on this site.

It's easy to say the car is worth 16k, it's another thing totally to front with the cash and buy it. No one on this site, if they were serious in buying it, would go to the bloke and say 'wow, 16k is a bargain, here you go'. Everyone of us would be trying to beat his price down.

Personally, if you wanna save yourself about 20k and a whole bunch of conversion hassles it's worth it (this is my way of saying 16k is fair).

Hey, just signed up after ages of browsing haha. It's a nice ute, its made top 100 summernats before and has also sold for more in the past. As everyone's said, it's cheaper than if you want to build one.

16K sounds right to me, alot of work has gone in to it.... didnt it used to be green and his bro had the orange one, FJ auto

Yeah a guy in Blacktown, Syd built it. It's the old PRO12T. His bro's tiga mica one was TIG20T.

is it worth $16K?
Yes I think it is easily WORTH it
Just list what the car would cost in parts form and add up the list you would come up to nearly $25K VERRY easily, for example as a ROUGH guide:
Seats $1200
wheels and tyres $1500
Turbo $1500
FMIC $1000
Engine $5500
Fuel system $800
Computer $1000
Tuning $800
Cooling system $400
Exhaust system $600
Paint and body $4000
dash and gauges $2000
Gear box and clutch $2500
Diff $1000
$23,800 roughly plus all the running around chasing up parts, custom engineering work, certificates, then add up how much frustration, late nights, arguments with your missus for spending all your spare time on your toy jeeeesus I would buy it rather than tinkle with a stocker for YEARS these top utes don't come by very often
This would have taken so long to do if it was done by the every day joe like the 99% of us members, that ute is immaculate and I think he deserves $16K for it at least just judging by the photos and the work gone in to it alone

ok the original guy that built it is Frank Calabrese, and yes his brother Tony had the other one mentioned. how do i know this?

ok Frank had a look at it on last night asked the guy a few questions, n yep its his old ute.

Frank & Tony have been giving me some tips on the ute n Tony prob gonna come out 2morow (thursday) or the next if it not raining.

Both Frank & Tony are good friends of mine, not to mention that they are both my supervisors at work.

so i would say 16K is definately worth it, coz i know the work n the money he (Frank) put into. He hates the new colour though!!!

They are also sum of the nicest guys you can meet

Hey Micro, read my statement a bit more clearly, I said it is worth 16k. What I was getting at is that anyone trying to purchase the vehicle is going to have a go at arguing the price down.

You mean to tell me you always pay sticker price on second hand cars?
