here is the wags looks like an explosion hazard with the lpg tank where it is maybe this was inteneded for blowing something up? and for $1250 i was expecting something in a bit better condition?!?!?

Your kidding right? A 1000 in good nick is worth more then $1250. I recon thats a bargain. Reminds me of when i got my VB10. bare bones and pretty rough.

Datto1000wagon - the metal plates you can see are designed to direct air onto the rear window. I have seen them on a few old holdens and valiants before. I assume it is to help keep the rear window clean but I am happy to be corrected.
