made some more progress today.

Got new bearings for my diff and got a mini-spool centre as I can't afford an LSD for now.

Having another session tonight so I'll have some more pics up later.

Had moderate progress today.

Spent the day installing the wiring loom and fuel system. I was in a rush tonight so didn't think I should try starting incase I forgot something important but all going well it will be running by tomorrow night.

I"ll have pics up soon

IT'S ALL OVER!

I was driving the car tonight, it was running like a dream, I went to grab 5th gear and I got neutral.

The gearstick is stuck in the 5th gear position but is giving no drive.

I'm guessing it's a dislodged selecter? The gearbox made no crunching or grinding noises even when this happened.

It's a stumpy 5 speed.

I got the box out tonight, it's a massive effort as some of you might know seeing as you have to lift or drop the motor to get the bloody thing off.

I'll split it tomorrow and have a look at what's gone wrong. If it is a simple fix I'll think about banging it back together but chances are it'll need some expert attention.

Atleast the Datnats got me motivated for a while and I actually made some progress.

I also had a taste of what it's like to drive a CA1200 which is something you all MUST do once in your life!

I had the same issue with my stumpy box... while going down the main straight at philip island... somehow i managed to get it back into the selector hole and went out for some more runs....

Then a few weeks later I got stuck in reverse and had to reverse about 2km home (around traffic lights was the scariest). I pulled it apart to find the selectors in reverse and the little key thing out of the selector hole.

All the best with it, lets hope its an easy fix... I know what its like lowering and raising the engine to get boxes off in a 1200... PITA!
