I've finally decided to update my air intake system, i figured i would be getting a fair bit of hot air with my current set up so i cut he guts out ofa N13 pulsar air box!!!

it took me about 20 mins to cut and measure up the box, pretty good with a hacksaw. the little pod filter is my oil breather, usually there's a hose the runs from the tappet cover to theback of the engine, i opted for the cooler looking of the two lol.

most carby'sthat have trumpets or round air filters etc all have a backing plate, so i'm just using that to mount the box on.

yeah i'm gonna run some memorex hose to the front of the grill, should be betterthan original filters.
It doesn't look to bad either, gonna spray it gloss black too

yep, looks like a top idea to me. cold air boxes don't get much cheaper and easier than that! and you also get increased filter area which should mean less restriction, especially compared to those foam filters.

thanks guys, hopefully it'll be finished by the meet in may, i have no spare time at the moment (uni exams) and the carbies are getting all tuned up in about a week so should be good.
