I just spoke to my brother about superchargers, and he said that you can set them up so that they work similar to a turbo, in that at idle, they can recycle the boost (ie none into motor) and then boost up a bit later, and this can be set at whatever, like a turbo. Kida defeats the purpose of a blower, but its more info. I need to find a good turbo shop to talk this over with...

One more question
The original dash was butchered by the preious owner to fit in a single din stereo. Thats fine, buts its really nasty. I was planning on taking it to a stereo shop and get them to neaten it up, but is it possible to fit a DIN type stereo unit from a more modern car into the dash so that the head unit can go in and out and be stable like a new car??
Has any one done this??

Perhaps I didnt make it clear what I was meaning, and now that I read my own post again, its not very clear.

It already has a very nast y hole cut, and a single din fits, and has worked in the past.

I want to make it like a more modern car, where all you do, is attach the factory brackets to the head unit, slide in, and then screw the brackets to the supporting box in the dash.

I was thinking about a unit from a corrolla (88ish). I had one for a first car, and i think it should be easy to pull out of the corrolla and mount into the dash.

I expect it to mean some welding to the dash from behind. Just want to know if people just use the can that come with most head units and just have em hanging on, or what?

hope thats clearer.

dattoman_1000, I can help you out with the electrical stuff as a part trade for the disk brake kit....
I would have thought that you would be fine with that stuff, or are you just lookng to be lazy...

I have the carb off the red 1000 that went to the tip
I'll rebuild it and bung it on the current A15
The throttle shaft is rooted (or the body where it runs thru) on the current carb so its running rough and drinking fuel

Racecar motor will be coming out during the week so the car can be shipped to the new owner (hopefully)
And yes it will be converted to EFI and I'll be selling off the twin DCOE's on manifold

Still wouldn't mind a better radio than whats in it now

righto then dattoman 1k

Now that I know what the story is, intriniscly lazy.... hmmm

I guess that when you are talking about a 1,5l 4 pot screamer, then the extra coupla litres of fuel isnt really big issue. People call me mad for using premium fuel in the datto, but for the extra $2 or there abouts it cant be bad for the car, higher octane and all.

Ill call about 11ish to see where you are. Its apitty that you cant see the datto now. the timing cover is somewhat dead. Ill post a photo soon to show.

cheers folks
