top left corner the engine bay shot shows a 1000 engine bay (I recognise the friewall) and strut towers been fitted but the inner engine wheel guards are different to a 1000 thought they might of been off something else and modified

Looks awsome. Great idea, but lets face it why would you wreck an awsome transverse front leaf setup for coilovers?

Seroiusly, different ideas for different applications is what makes the mind tick over.

looks to me like the transverse leaf has been removed on the cream one and a coilover added which has been offset to one side of the upper and lower control arm but the top is mounted to the body of the cross member and the bottom to the lower control arm so that the bump stop still works if required. This would be real easy to do. I used to do a similar thing on my brumby ute to get twin shocks for off road racing. The position in still in far enough in that you would get full turning circle without hitting the coil over. I would just add a sway bar as well across the front radius rods. I reckon the front suspension setup would be fully adjustable in both hieght and stifness then making it perfect for hard cornering on the street or track and coil overs in the back with a stanze 4 link rear using the front leaf mounts for the out side links...
Any thoughts?
