Oh good, I really liked that Ute. It apealed to me on several levels & I missed his departure. It's owner struck me as being a bloody nice bloke too.

I rather likes this 1600/510 wagon as I would like one of these myself. Everyone needs a family model & this is as good as they get.

I saw this car, but not with the bonnet open. If I had then I would have shot some pictures myself.
This one has a pleasant surprise in there.

That's a supercharged & injected L series. The blower is located directly under the front of the inlet 'manifold' & the power output allowed it to do what you see in the video.

Old school rules.

While looking at all the cars at the pie shop, I was struck with the level of popularity of the perenial TRX wheel.
15" mags for the driver on a budget.
There are ten cars depicted in these pictures with these wheels & that adds up to roughly 20% or more of the cars on the run.

So here is a sampling from the batch that was sent to my by Whoridas_Girl.

Hard to see, but this 1200 sedan has the TRX wheels

Both the 1200 Wagon & the 1200 Ute have 'em. Well, the Ute has 'em on the front at least.

Another 1600.

Yet another 1600. Does it actually do 11's? Well if the performance that I saw at Wakefield Park on the first day of the Datnats in Goulburn back in '05 is any indication, then I'd say it probably does.

One last 1600.

It just proves that these wheels are very popular right now, & probably will be for quite a while to come.

Thanks to Whorida's_Girl for the pics. Only about 80 left to go.

dodgeman yeha the trx rims where the rims of the day followed closely by simmons fr17s.

also that white 1200 ute with the trx rims on the front and hotwires on the rear is mine. i only got the hotwires on the rear because i havent got enough wheel nuts to put the trx rims on the rear. was hopin to have them on the rear but couldnt find the correct ones in time for the cruise
