need a tailshaft for my 81 1200 ute in brisbane or sunshine coast please. prefeably with good uni joints

get a new one made, it was the easiest and fastest way i got a hold of one and it only cost me $240 with holden 6 uni joints

1200 ute tailshaft unis should be replacable shouldnt they? and they only cost like $10

or was my ute tailshaft just special

I was told by the bloke who made my new one that the unis are peaned in so you can get them out and that they (the tailshaft) is a throw away item, he didn't even want it after he was done measuring it up

most tailshaft people will remove the non replacable items and put in replacable ones. it cost me last time i had it done $120 for new uni's and balancing

if they look like the uni's have been pressed in with a stubby lid, they are no good.
the other guys are right, just go get a newey made up. not that exxey.

thats the thing, arent they supposed to have L series unis in them

thats what mine had in it to go with the L series size flanges that the ute tailshafts have and the unis are definatly replacable, unlike all the other A series tailshafts
