oic, than i better get tune up first...
i got the repair manual for sunny
i think i will follow that first.

btw
another thing i observe is the engine seems like very 'lag'
example rev it up and let go the accelerator, than the rev will goes down slowly...
(on other engine, it will goes down fast)

not sure if its related to carb or not

Check your throttle return spring. If its stretched you can get appropriate universal springs from any auto shop that should do the job.

I run a A12 carby on my A15. Its the early one before the anti dieseling solenoid even! Runs fine! Pulls from 1k - 6k (and sometimes a little above )
Its only a temp as I have a turbo setup in mind. I dont know if its lacking in power because of it because I havnt had anything else on to campare it to!

What about a bigger weber? Like a 32/36. Did you guys get 2liter Ford Escorts over there?

ooh...
weber is very very rare at my country
and even harder to find is the parts for weber,
and also books or mechanic to tune it.

we do have escort here..
but are 1.6 litre..
even being 1.6, its very very fast, compare to my b310 with a15

To some extent that is normal on emission controlled A15 engine, it is called the "Throttle Opener".

What country are you in?

Definitely more Datsun 1200 parts in Malaysia than in USA... I see them on eBay direct from Malaysia.
