2x SU side draghts, branches, freeflow, modified airbox or race filter, blue print motor and reprofile cam.

Without the blue printing (Balancing), +/- R6500.
Try SAC (Steves auto clinic), I might be wrong, but I think they are one of the best.

Heres a link to there site: Steves auto clinic

Would doing this be cheaper than replacing the engine with a 1400 or a 1500 and will it give me the same amount of power as a 1400 or 1500

Carb & Exhaust might make an A12 as quick as a stock A14.

Your best performance per Rand will be to swap a larger engine -- a stock KA24E engine swap will outperform a modded A14 or A15.

If i replaced the engine with a stock KA24E then i would probably have to replace the diff and the gearbox.

How much would it set me back(cost) to replace the gearbox and diff etc.

If you go with an A14 or A15 you will also need to replace the gearbox and differential.

If you go with a larger engine, just make sure the gearbox is included. Sometimes a bargain can be had by buying a wrecked car.
