what paint should be used on the floor of a car outside underneath???

i want something thick and rough looking but aint sure whats called???

any recomendations advice

go to your paint shop theres a few ways you can do it theres brush on tar ( thich and heavy duty) , spray tar/ underbody coat . both make road noise go away .

you can also buy stuff called stone guard its spray on, all the auto shops should have it eg. supa crap

you can get a few sorts and brands of underbody deadner in spray cans.
1 thing to look for is to make sure it is not water based. if it is water based you will need to paint over it.Some stone gaurds are water based.

So buy a tar based one and when you are spraying it, put multpli thin coats on. because if you put one thick coat it takes to long to dry out and cracks.

I sprayed the whole underneath of my datto ute with a paint called "chassis black" and you can get it from supercheap auto for about $20 a litre, you dont ned thinners or anything its ready to use and its fairly thick, you will need a a spray gun, I used 2 litres to do the whole job. The rest of the ute hasnt been painted yet, the only reason i did it was to cover up all the bog underneath before a roadworthy (lots of bog) lol

i used the brush on septone sound deadner. Goes on reealy thick looks great when it dries you see some brush strokes but nothing major.
I just gerned the #### out of it first so that your not painting of oil and ####.
