There are a heap of little extras that all add up (may not need all but should budget for them).

Oil pump, water pump, machining and balance, Head work (Cam followers, valve stems, springs, cams), welsh plugs, timing tensioners, thermostat, spark plugs, oil, oil filter, rubber hose to replace perished ones, Radiator flush, coolent. Then there is the turbo, ECU, boost controller, ignitors, Fuel pump, fuel filter, injectors, pressure regulator and finally the tune. +++ im sure.

I think my engine owes me around $7k including a new ECU. She is making 199rwHP on 7psi (rev limited to 6500rpm for runin period 1400km on the clock now). May not sound that impressive.......yet :).

i think you'll probalbly find that 8.5:1 static compression ratio is more than capable of handling 300rwhp plus easily with good internals and good head gasket with a correct tune.

JUN would be the company i would go to if i had a big cheque book, but otherwise i'm sure all forged internals are better than the stock ones.

i dont no about microtec but i know that heltec is a good computer but its all about how much u are willing to fork out for theese things stock will do me for a while well untill im looking for some seriouse power( 250rwkw) but almost any aftermarket computer will handle things better than the stock one well if u keep to the major brands anyways.
thanks

It's hard to compair apples with apples as my wolf was a v3 (Mid 1990s) and the microtech is brand new. At the end of the day it's what your tuner is most comfortable with that will get the most horsepower. I definitly made more Hp with the microtech at lower boost levels then with the wolf but that is not a limitation of the computer but shows how comfortable the tuner is with microtech.
