Hey all,

Been a while since the Datsun saw any love - fitting the intercooler and radiator at the mo'.

Got the cooler in - and was wondering, should I leave and air gap between the intercooler and radiator is sandwich them up against one another.

I have enough room to leave a little air gap if I like....my heat transfer knowledge tells me sandwiching them should be the better idea.

How have people gone squishing them together - any increased risk of mechanical damage?

if they are sandwiched they will heat soak and maybe rub together plus you dont need to any way i have a ca18det with radiatpor twin thermos and i/c and i have about a 20mm air gap its possible even with the grille on like mine.

Yeah the rubbing together was what was worrying me....I hadn't thought of the heat soak between the two coolers.

I'll give them a little space.

Thanks kegs
