hey im looking for some 40 thou oversize pistons for my A14 ,
just wondering what i should use ?

what type to get ?
where to get them ?
and how much ?

help please !

You should use cast (not forged) pistons.

Call up a piston manufacturer and ask them. They don't have them in the catalog, but will make them custom order.

You can get 1mm oversize [second oversize] as genuine parts from your Nissan dealers parts department, or through just about any reconditioner. If you want flat tops, the smallest I could find are 78mm [2mm oversize, or third oversize plus a bit] from B-Projects through their Australian agent in Western Australia. [Contact Dundee1000]

I have bored my a14 out and put in bigger flat top pistons. They are out of some sort of mazda and are brand new. I had bore the conrods and get bigger gudgin pins.

I dont know exactly how much bigger the pistons are but its definetly quicker.

They are about $450 for a custom set. About what B-projects has them for.
